Tiger Mama – Number 28
August 12, 2019
As the name ‘Tiger Mama’ suggests, we are heading to an Asian restaurant. Â We love Asian food, in fact it’s probably our favourite (sorry Italy). Â
On arriving we are told our seating is at a shared high top table. Â We love high top tables and we had such a great time at Pammy’s on their shared table, we were very optimistic. Â Er, no. Â Not the same. Â The shared table at Tiger Mama is right next to the open kitchen and we were seated with our backs to it. Â It was an exceptionally hot day and as soon as we sat down we could feel the heat as the chefs were cooking behind us. Â We were also directly opposite other diners with no beautiful vases of flowers to screen the eyes and the mess they had made. Â Time to move.
Once seated in our infinitely better spot at the tiki bar, we could relax and enjoy our evening, which started with excellent cocktails.
We ordered smaller dishes to share and managed to pick some great things. Â Clark ordered the spicy ribs. Â It may have been noticed that there are a lot of ribs ordered on our restaurant visits. Just to clarify, if there are ribs, Clark is going to order them. Â Man. Â Meat. Â Bone. Â What’s not to like? Â We had beef tender rib noodles (more ribs), which were really rich and slurpingly tasty and a lamb roti or two (more meat) and we had to order something with a sauce so opted for a fish curry. Â We really enjoyed the food, the restaurant was buzzing and our bar seats turned out to be a great little spot. Â A good time was had by all.
